TAPU TE RANGA MARAE
Born and raised on Tapu-te-Ranga marae, Pare is a raukura of the kura kaupapa generation, a māmā and a practitioner of rongoā Māori. She is part of the long-running Tuia programme, a nationwide initiative nurturing young Māori leaders through mentorship with local mayors, and helped found Te Amokura, a rangatahi group based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Pare runs wānanga for rangatahi, and wānanga grounded in rongoā Māori.
